Believe it or not

The Sr. Ningú Manifesto

I believe in nothing.
Not because nothing matters —
but because everything pretends to.

Power is for insecure people.
Are you comfortable enough?

I don’t pray,
I whisper in the dark.

I trust no truth,
but I listen for patterns.
I know no ideology,
but I practice systematic doubt.

If you own too much, who did you take it from.
If you know too much, who are you sharing with.
If you speak too much, you have nothing to say.

I have no country,
but I love the mountains, the rivers, the shores.
I have no flag.
Any rag becomes a flag if the wind says so.

I have no mission,
but I do enjoy a good provocation.

The righteous wear uniforms.
The sacred sell tickets.
Freedom doesn’t shout.
A king should not need to stand.

I admire failure.
I respect success.
Haven’t seen either.

Most opinions are costumes.
Most careers are cages.
Most people confuse being seen with being.

I am not here to guide you.
I’m not here to save you.
I’m just here to whisper,
“Is that really what you think?”
